remotestillness
remotestillness is a blog meant for documenting and researching my experience on the John Muir Trail. The John Muir Trail is located in the high country of the Sierra Nevadas. I will include my pre-preparations for and post-reflections on the trail. My intention is to use documentation (photos and post-reflection writings) and research notes as resources for the development of a new solo-choreographic work.

Remote Landscapes
Remote Landscapes
Pomp and Power
Byzantium hues of Purple
Carved granite polished by glacial waters
Small and rare outgrowths of life adorn it
Choosing to adapt to fine air
Bodies of water mirror the stillness of remote land
Clouds seem harmless until they gather in darkness
The trees provide shelter
The mountains will change you
Follow the well marked trail
Mother nauture awaits you
